The federal government has canceled the temporary assignment of homes under the National Housing Program for 1,357 individuals spread across 33 states because these recipients did not finalize their payments within the specified period.

The Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development verified the cancellation through an official announcement on Tuesday, pointing out the failure to meet the 90-day payment obligation along with an extra eight-week extension period.

The statement indicated that the decision is consistent with the conditions outlined in the Provisional Offer of Allocation Letter sent to the recipients.

The list detailed the recipients, various dwelling types, and places where data for the numbers 1,357 and 33 originated. The accommodations comprised one- and two-bedroom bungalows as well as three-bedroom semi-detached bungalows.

Part of the announcement stated, “The Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has formally revoked the conditional allocation offers for homes under the National Housing Program. This action applies to all beneficiaries who did not complete their payments within the initial 90-day timeframe plus an extra eight weeks of grace period provided.”

This choice adheres to the guidelines detailed in Section 2 of the Provisional Offer of Allocation Letter sent to recipients.

He confirmed that individuals who finalized their payments by February 28, 2025, will still be entitled to obtain their Letters of Allocation and can proceed to occupy their residences right away.

In an effort to boost transparency, the ministry has made public the complete roster of rescinded allotments on its official website. This detailed listing includes individuals’ names, residences, types of houses involved, as well as the specific locales of those impacted.
