Central Pattana Plc has introduced Market Place ThepRak, a community mall featuring an innovative urban fresh market concept.

Located in the Phahonyothin-Watcharapol area of northern Bangkok, Market Place ThepRak features over 360 stores, spanning a total of 7,300 square metres, providing a wide range of products and services to enhance convenience for locals.

Wuttikiat Techamongklapiwat, who serves as the chief operating officer of Asset Management Group 2 at Central Pattana, stated that Market Place ThepRak is designed as a neighborhood-focused project aimed at meeting the varied requirements of the local community.

“The Market Place ThesPrak represents our inaugural venture into the concept of a community mall, blending contemporary aesthetics with the functionality of both a community shopping center and an urban farmers’ market,” he explained.

The neighborhood shopping center provides an array of stores, eating choices, and spots for post-work leisure, aligning with the area’s residents’ preferred ways of life.

The layout and choices at the mall reflect consumer research suggesting that local shoppers like engaging in family-oriented activities in a location nearer to where they live.

He mentioned that they prioritize environmental awareness and emphasize building a sustainable community to enhance their overall well-being.

Mr. Wuttikiat mentioned that the ThepRak neighborhood is seeing substantial development, driven by growing business prospects and the requirements of local inhabitants arising from numerous residential projects.

At present, the region encompasses more than 174,000 homes, with an annual increase of 2.4%, and accommodates almost 400,000 residents, according to Mr. Wuttikiat.

The Market Place ThepRak showcases Central Group partners like Tops Supermarket and Auto 1, alongside extensive healthcare services and various culinary choices, highlighted by the renowned Michelin-starred eateries from Yaowarat and Banthat Thong.

Moreover, it provides family-oriented areas featuring a play area and a pet section, along with facilities for wellness and aesthetics, and venues suitable for events.

Mr. Wuttikiat mentioned that this community mall additionally organizes various events and activities like an outdoor market, a weekend market, and pet owner-oriented programs aimed at enhancing communal bonds even more.
