After 19 years of operating in Vietnam, Intel now boasts 600 local partners and continues to seek additional businesses to expand its supply chain.
Dr. Naga Chandrasekaran, who serves as the Chief Global Operations Officer, Executive Vice President, and General Manager for Intel Foundry, expressed during the Intel Strategic Parts Supplier Summit 2025 on Wednesday that Intel is dedicated to fostering the growth of the semiconductor supply chain ecosystem in Vietnam.
He noted that the firm acknowledged and was grateful for the Vietnamese government’s initiatives in building infrastructure and establishing conducive environments for the ongoing growth of the semiconductor sector.

He stated that the initiative aims to establish a platform designed to uncover fresh prospects for suppliers, bolster human capital growth, and foster innovation to advance Vietnam’s semiconductor industry ecosystem.
This month, Intel’s plant in Vietnam is set to hit the landmark of shipping 4 billion units, underscoring the vital part played by Intel’s assembly and testing site in the country within its worldwide network.
The event held on Wednesday in HCMC was jointly organized by the Saigon High-tech Park and Intel Products Vietnam. The primary objective was to boost collaboration and advance semiconductor and high-tech supply chain development within the nation.
The gathering brought together prominent local and global providers of semiconductor components along with many manufacturing companies within the sector.
Susan Burns, the U.S. Consul General in the city, highlighted collaboration in semiconductors and advanced technologies as key aspects of the improving relationship between Vietnam and the United States. She emphasized that the gathering of 40 suppliers reinforced both Intel’s and the U.S.’s dedication to establishing a robust domestic semiconductor supply network.
Speaking at the event, Vo Van Hoan, vice chairman of the municipal People’s Committee, highlighted the city’s complete ecosystem to develop emerging industries with sound human resources and numerous semiconductor enterprises.
He expressed his backing for the business sector, noting that the forum acted as a crucial link between enterprises and investors, enabling them to collaborate, exchange ideas, and explore possibilities. This initiative also aimed at fostering growth and enhancing the competitive edge of Ho Chi Minh City’s emerging semiconductor industry.
